History abounds in this limestone hotel built in 1812. Ulysses S. Grant even stayed here per the carefully retained register. Over the years, there have been additions to the original hotel building. The famous bar has wood work not found in today's buildings and there are several dining rooms, most with their own Dutch fireplaces. A banquet room added later has been the venue for weddings, parties and banquets. Upstairs is an apartment with kitchen, living room, bath and bedroom. Other rooms, some with baths, offer an opportunity to rent by the day or week. The Hulbert House is part of the Boonville Historic District in a grouping of architecturally significant buildings.
